We provide Specialist Occupational Physician assessment of employees whose absence is a cause of concern and we specialise in case management of employees sick leave. In addition we can liaise with the individuals own medical practitioner to try and resolve the barriers preventing the individual from returning to work. The report will assist you as a manager by advising on issues such as:
As the employee is not a patient of the Occupational Physician we can maintain independence and objectivity throughout the process. As well as taking a history and performing a skilled examination, we consider other reports and investigations that are available. We are also skilled in taking into account the requirements of the workplace. Early referral to our Occupational Physicians can assist in the resolution and management of cases and facilitate an early return to work.

- Return to work date
- Likely length of ongoing absence
- Whether or not future absences can be anticipated due to health issues
- If work accommodations or restrictions are required and for what period of time
- Whether the employee has a medical condition that might impact on ability to give reasonable attendance and effective service in the future.

Return To Work
These assessments are carried out when an employee is returning to work after recovery from a serious illness or injury and the person’s capacity to perform the job is not known.
It is also useful when an employee has returned to a modified job and is still undergoing therapy, rehabilitation or both.
